The Ground Coat has no fastening above the waist. There is a single hook inside the left facing and nothing else, so the coat is either held closed or left open, and both were designed for.
It is cut two sizes away from the body on purpose. Undyed lambswool at 420 gsm wants to hang; a coat that fits closely turns that weight into strain across the shoulder. Given room, it falls.

Care
Dry clean only. Air between wears rather than cleaning; undyed wool sheds most of what it picks up.
