The collar is one fold, doubled back on itself and never stitched down. It holds because the gauge is tight enough to hold, and it collapses differently on every person who wears it.
Everything below the collar is the Mere Knit body. This is the same garment with a different neck, and the atelier has stopped pretending otherwise.
